SIBBY'S BIO

Sibby Barbosa has lived in Naugatuck since the age of 6, when he and his family immigrated from Brazil, and has spent most of the last 30 years servicing the borough's automotive needs.

Sibby started messing around with cars at the age of 12 at the present Cumberland Farms location on Rubber Ave, which was a Chevron Station years ago. He started there pumping gas and sweeping floors. Sibby has come a long way since those days of pumping gas. His business, Sibby's Automotive, Inc has grown rapidly that even he seems surprised. It was the guy that owned it who taught him the business. A graduate of Naugatuck High School and Emmett O'Brien Technical College in Ansonia, Sibby has expanded his interest of cars into a successful business.

Sibby has many years of experience in the foreign and domestic automobile field. He has been a resident of Naugatuck for 41 years.
