Arriving soon! Throughout the full decade of the 1980s, Lincoln's Town Car was the traditional luxury car of choice. Its formal, sharply chiseled styling, highlighted by the classic grille design and "opera" windows set into the padded vinyl top, was complemented by its smooth performance and very quiet and plush ride. On offer here is a 1986 Lincoln Town Car. Although the clean CARFAX report shows a mileage inconsistency, it also states that it could be due to a clerical error. The odometer currently shows less than 30,000 miles, which we could understand as being accurate, given the car's amazingly original and pristine overall condition. The original paint still gleams on the arrow-straight body panels, and the vinyl top is likewise as new as are the chrome bumpers and accents. Factory wire wheel covers wrapped in Michelin whitewalls provide the perfect accent to the Lincoln's Impressive presence. Inside, the glove's soft, dark red leather upholstery looks factory fresh, as does the dash, headliner, and carpet. Those luxury features include the "twin comfort front seat with dual fold-down armrests and power adjustment for both sides. The automatic climate control works great, and the car still has its original AM/FM/Cassette "Premium Sound" audio system that's just waiting to play Sinatra's Greatest Hits. Under the proud hood is Lincoln's bulletproof 5.0-liter fuel-injected V8 matched to a four-speed automatic that provides quiet, unstrained performance and effortless highway cruising. The ride is like that of a magic carpet as the Town Car's suspension just swallows up bumps and ruts, while the cabin provides very comfortable seating to go with its quiet ride. This really is one of those cars that must be seen to be believed, as it's like turning time back to 1986, visiting your local Lincoln dealership, and proudly driving this car out of the showroom.
